A Freilichen Chanukah!

Chanukah is here- Chaim had a wonderful first experience. We lit outside of the building and everyone who passed by was inspired and only wanted to participate in the Mitzvah. They contributed 1/2 shekel each. We're RICH!!
Afterwards, Chaim enjoyed dinner with us, consisting of hot, delicious latkas and home-made applesauce!
Wishing you a Happy Chanukah!!
Missing you....

After dinner, we took a nice stroll to get some dessert (for Chaim, of course!).  On our way, we passed by a life-size Menorah! Chaim was mesmerized...

When we got to the ice cream store, we gave Chaim the opportunity to choose the flavor.  Chaim was so excited with all the options!

This was taken after he ate the delectable treats! Notice the big smile (on Chaim's face- not Simmy's!) :)
YUM!

  4. Your post brought back memories of Chanukah 8 years ago when I was in Israel to celebrate the birth of Chani. What amazed me most was the fact that there was only Chanukah and no other distraction in the stores and streets of Jerusalem. Continue to enjoy and to share your Israel experiences.
